Spring Flood

Hydrologists from NOAA and the National Weather Service are warning that spring flooding is likely to be worse than normal in southeast Iowa. There is more snow than usual to melt and the soil is saturated. As a result, normal amounts of rain could generate moderate to major floods over the next few weeks.

As of Tuesday night, the Iowa River was forecast to pass flood stage Thursday morning with moderate flooding Saturday.

Good luck there, Noah. Spring is my least favorite season. Too rainy, too muddy, and…summer never arrives fast enough.

Thanks for the sympathy. Keep your feet dry.
