Area Farmers In National Geographic August 10, 2009

Yesterday, just before church, two of the men in our congregation where paging through a magazine. It was the June issue of National Geographic. Within the pages were pictures of two area farmers at work during last fall’s harvest.

Both pictures are associated with an article that lays out the need for another “green revolution,” capable of outpacing the rapid increase in food production in the latter half of the 20th century.

The article is likely to be controversial, but whether you like what the author says or not, it’s great to see these stunning pictures of Keith Kuntz and Jason Hinson at work. (You’ll have to browse the slide show to find them.)

P.S. I’m told that the light in the distance above Hinson’s mirror is the church sign of the Kingston Methodist church.
